Eudora ‘Gunter’ Morris, 105, of Ben Franklin, Texas, gained her wings Monday February 9, 2026.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday February 10, 2026, at Oaklawn Cemetery Cooper, Texas. Pastor Brenda Williams will officiate.
Eudora was born in Gough Community December 14, 1920, to William Harvey ‘Will’ and Narcissus S. ‘Nora’ Bailey Gunter. They preceded her in death as well as her husband Isaac ‘I.E.’ Morris, sisters Jessie Gunter McCulloch, Ida Lillie Gunter Huie, Willie Pruitt and brothers Charles Douglas Gunter, R.J. Gunter, W.H. Gunter and J.F. Fisher.
Eudora attended school in Lamar County and married Isaac Edward (IE) Morris March 1, 1952, in Cooper, Texas, She worked along her husband raising cotton crops and cattle, until his death, January 1995. She retired from Campbell Soup in Paris, Texas, A very independent, kindhearted and loving lady, she enjoyed all of Natures creations, especially her beautiful Iris flowers, all bird species, wildlife, tree varieties, her beautiful vegetable garden, and old barns. A talented artist, Eudora focused on Folk Art, depicting her life growing up in cotton fields, until her sight began to fail. She always provided an open door and helping hand to her friends and relatives. She was a founding member of the Ben Franklin Garden Club, and was a member of Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
