Gerald Wayne “Elvis” Kesler, 78, of Murchison, Texas passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel with Stacy Smith officiating.
Family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the Memorial service at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel.
Gerald was born in Lake Creek, Texas on June 26, 1940 to Roscoe and Mary Ellen “Gregg” Kesler. They have preceded him in death as well as a granddaughter, Hope Savarese and brother, Charles Kesler.
Gerald married Sara Woodall on December 24, 1959 in Cooper, Texas. He was an engineer, an active member of First Baptist Church of Athens and attended the Senior Men’s Sunday School Class, The Labor of Love Organization of Athens and very involved in all the Callender Lake Community Committees. He loved his children and grandchildren. He was an avid lifelong fisherman, awesome cook and loved entertaining, RV traveling, country music and attending Blue Grass Festivals.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Kesler; son, Shawn Kesler (Laurala) of Farmington, Missouri; daughter, Britna Savarese and fiancé, Josh Graham, of Plano, Texas. Five grandchildren: Tanner Kesler, Lexie Kesler, Bella Savarese, Emma Savarese, Lily Graham; brother, Terry Kesler (Barbara) of Enloe, Texas; sister-in-law, Linda Kesler of Portland, Oregon and numerous extended family and friends.
